Russia to look for tit-for-tat response to new US sanctions — minister

The sanctions are aimed against certain individuals and enterprises, not whole sectors of the economy
PARIS, September 9. /TASS/. Moscow is going to look for a tit-for-tat response to new United States sanction against Russia, Russian Economic Development Minister Alexey Ulyukayev said answering the question about the Russian response to toughening of the United Stated sanctions against Russia decided in early September.
"These sanctions are of a personal nature, they are aimed at certain individuals and companies and are not of a sectoral nature. That is why I believe that in this situation we will look for some tit-for-tat response," he said.
On September 2 the United States introduced sanctions against several Russian defense sector enterprises on charges of cooperation with Iran, North Korea and Syria. Among them are Rosoboronexport, KBP Instrument Design Bureau (Tula), Novosibirsk manufacturer of night vision devices and electro-optical converters - Katod company, NPO Mashinostroyenia (Moscow region), and Russian Aircraft Corporation Mig.
