Russia's permanent representative to NATO Dmitry Rogozin suggested that a joint with U.S. and NATO missile defense system that will not only protect from missiles but from asteroids. It is reported by "Kommersant", citing unnamed sources in diplomatic circles.
The initiative is code-named "Strategic Defense of the Earth." According to interlocutors of publication, a new system of the planet's space defense project authors would like to put under UN control.
