The defense ministers of Russia and the United States Sergei Shoigu and Ashton Carter resumed contacts to discuss the situation in the Middle East.
The representative of the Russian Defense Ministry said that during the hours of conversation the parties have found a convergence of views on most issues related to the situation in the region.
The Pentagon called the dialogue "the constructive". Also, US agencies said that the ministers will continue talks in the future to discuss the solution to the Syrian crisis and the campaign against "Islamic state."
