Hatch VAZ-2114 was created in the mid 90s through the development of a family of Samara-2. This car is a modified VAZ-21093 with the front part of the known model of VAZ-2115 (optics, grille, rear spoiler) and with a slightly modified design of the rear (modified rear bumper). Bumpers painted in body color on the sides of the body fairings installed moldings and thresholds. The first copies of VAZ 2114 were collected on the factory assembly line in 2000, in 2001, collected pilot batches - 50 cars, and in 2002 it was planned to start production in an amount of 30 thousand vehicles per year. At the time of VAZ 2114 is going to hatch in small quantities for pilot production (RFP) and is found in the market.
Aerodynamics of VAZ-2114 VAZ-2115 is similar, which slightly decreased Cl, decreased lift and has improved its distribution along the axes. The drag coefficient C, in the updated hatchback decreased only slightly - 0.45 vs. 0.46 in the usual "nine". But the balance of lift forces has changed radically: the total lift force increased slightly, but the axes, it is now uniformly distributed.
